Operational Strategy

I am yet to meet a founder who truly gets the need for an operational strategy.

Most tell me that they will figure it out as they go along.

Yet I meet many founders who:

  • work 16+ hours days with no days off or breaks

  • have no idea whether they are financial stable

  • spend as much time googling how to use the various platforms as they do inputting the information into it

  • are under resourced but don't know if they can afford to hire

  • spend more of their time fighting fires than fighting for bigger and better opportunities.

Your operating strategy IS the way to build your business.

Without it, your time and money is used to just keep things going.

All the while, you get progressively more physically, mentally, emotionally and financially exhausted.

Not having a thorough idea of your operating processes and costs from the beginning is a rookie error.

The reality is that you cannot afford to grow your business if you haven't built out a stable scalable infrastructure when you started.

Trying to build the tools and resources you need once you are in motion means something has to be sacrificed - and it is usually your time to think about where your business is going.

Without a clear op strategy - hate to say it but ... you ain't going nowhere.
