Your To-Do List
You have a long to do list to complete before you get going on your business idea.
And for some reason, that list keeps getting longer and longer - and the business is just going to have to wait.
Staying in this constant 'readying' stage can mean that you never have to admit that you are scared or overwhelmed by the thought of becoming a business owner, but it keeps the dream alive so ... one day.
Let's get real.
The to do list of things that have to happen before you can start your business is not the real blocker to your progress.
Your mindset is.
I'm not going to go into an inspirational speech about how to prove what you are capable of.
Because I can already hear your internal voice telling you that it's not your capability but your capacity.
You are simply too busy doing 'stuff' to start now.
If that's true, then do something for me.
Write down your long list of to do items.
And then ask yourself "Does this help me get closer to opening the business?"
Quick hint - if it is organising your sock drawer, the answer is almost certainly no.
If you find yourself having to do mental gymnastics to make it relevant, it's not your capacity, it's your mindset.
For every item on the list that doesn't directly correspond with getting you physically, mentally or financially closer to starting - put it onto the 'got to be done but honestly, it doesn't have to be done now' list.
Then start, bit by bit, day by day, to make your dream a reality.
I promise you it's not as scary as you think.
