What Is your Reason Why?
Sometimes it is the simple questions that unlock the most but are the most difficult to answer.
And almost all of those type of questions start with "Why?"
But I'm not talking here about the purpose or the vision for the business.
I'm talking about YOUR reason why, as founder.
What did you want to achieve?
What did you want to prove about yourself?
What was it in your life at that moment that made you think "I'm going to start my own business?"
Boredom with your current job?
Ambitions of becoming the next Jeff Bezos?
Jealousy of those who are reaping the rewards of entrepreneurship?
Determination to prove your friends and family wrong?
Behind the commercial reasons for your business will be one or more extremely personal ones.
They are the ones that get you up in the morning, ready to drive your business on.
And they are not always pleasant to recognise in yourself.
But the more you understand what your personal motivations are, the better you can strategise how to grow your business.
Your strategy is not determined by only rational thoughts, but these irrational emotional ones as well.
By understanding those, you can see why you are making the choices you are.
They are the north star of your business - they are what you are driving to achieve.
Use them as your rocket fuel.
